ARAWARETA NA!? GANDAMUUU!!!!!

I dag begynte vi med å spise på yoshinoya. Digg siden det var billig og godt. Etterpå dro vi mot Asakusa for å se på tourist trap tempelhandlegate. Jeg og Marius sugde ikke og dro i bak gatene og så på ting der istedefor der hvor alle folkene var og det var super crowded.

Masse spennende og se der og vi fikk oss ordentlig Ramune som var kjempe god. De hadde en liten arkade i bakgaten men var ikke noe jubeat der så ikke så spennende. Vi gikk til tempelet etter alle hadde samlet seg og så gikk vi å fikk spådd vår lykke i tempel greia. Jeg fikk samme som Marte, dårlig hell eller noe men jeg knøt den ut så det er ok. Vi gikk rundt å så på flotte tempelhagene etterpå som var utrolig fine. Jeg er glad vi så det.

Vi dro videre og tokk sightseeing båt utover tokyo bay og hadde kjempeflott guide som pratet iherdig på japansk så det var vel ingen i gruppen som fikk med seg noe utenom meg. Masse spennende oppover elven faktisk. Japans største høyblokker og liknende. Vi kom oss av båten på et sted hvor vi måtte bytte båt som var egentlig litt morsomt fordi vi fant et skrukketroll som vi bestemte oss for at var veldig intresant. Marius fant en kebab vogn og skulle egentlig kjøpe kebab men vi fant ut at det ikke var så kult.

Båten skulle ta oss videre til Odaiba som er en slags amazing menneskeskapt øy som er veldig futuristisk. Vi ble møtt av frihetsgudinnen når vi kjørte innover og så gikk vi oppover mot sentrene. Vi skulle egentlig dra på Joypolis men det var kveldspass fra kl 5 som var billigere så vi bestemte oss for å finne på noe annet imens. Derfor dro vi alle å spiste på McDonalds som utrolig nok hadde bra mat! Jeg bestillte egentlig en dobbel quarter pounder meny men fikk bare singel. Alikevel var det utrolig mettende. Jeg elsker Japan.

Janne ville på kattekafen de hadde i området så vi gikk litt innom der. Hun fikk overtalt med seg Kristina inn så hun slapp og være alene, men vi andre synes det ble litt kjedelig så vi valgte heller å gå rundt på senteret. Ikke noe spennende der akkurat men vi fant ut at vi måtte på do så vi gikk på ekspedisjon etter det. Når vi var ferdig med det så var utrolig nok klokken snart 5. Vi samlet oss og gikk in på den amazinge joypolis som er da Sega sin egen fornøyelsespark.

Når vi kom in så dro jeg, Patrick, Marte, Marius og Daniel til Canyon Boarding attraktionen som er den mest kjente og populære på joypolis. Den er en slags halfpipe med store snowboard man står på 2 og 2 og så spinner den fra side til side. Når man er nederst så skal man trykke ned brettet samtidig så begynner den å snurre. Det er om å gjøre å få mest poeng. Patrick kunne ikke bli med fordi han hadde ikke noen partner men jeg og Daniel og Marte og Marius kjørte på og hadde det drit fett. Jeg og Daniel fikk ca. likt som den ene japanske jentejengen og mer poeng en den andre, men tapte mot Marte og Marius.

Etter Cannyon så tokk vi Spinn Bullet som var en berg og dal bane som var innendørs men sendte oss ut så vi fikk se rainbow bridge og nydelig utsikt over tokyo bay. Men så sendte den oss in igjen på en veldig hakkete og vond tur i en spinnende vogn. Morsomt men til tider vondt. Spinn Bullet så møtte vi foresten Janne som joina oss der med Thomas tror jeg. Så da gikk vi opp å tokk vi storm G hvor Patrick og Janne joina oss. Denne attraksjonen var nydelig fordi det var helt som en normal arkade maskin med futuristisk raketbil ting, men man satt i en maskin som spant med bilen. Jeg partna opp med Patrick og kjørte mot alle de andre. Det var kjempe gøy og jeg og Patrick vandt fordi vi er amazinge.

Vi måtte ta Spinn Bullet en gang til fordi den var så kul så vi gjorde det. Vi tokk også spesial versjon av house of the dead som var amazing. Man satte seg på en ride ting og festet seg fast og tokk opp pistolene. Når personene i spillet skrek “bak deg!” så snudde hele spillet seg og man fikk en ny skjerm bak seg. ah det var nydelig. Vi tokk også å spillte et Initial D bilspill hvor de hadde fullsize bile som man satte seg in i så når man kjørte så beveget hele bilen seg. Det var kjempegøy og veldig realistisk følelse. Jeg vant selfølgelig over computeren.

Før initial D så spiste jeg også Crepe igjen sammen med Marius og det var utrolig digg denne gangen også. Men hun dama i boden var veldig søt og veldig stresset så hun glemte å få betalt av meg, jeg betalte henne selvfølgelig. Etter Joypolis Så bestemte vi oss for å gå å se på toyota City og pariserhjulet der som var gigantisk. Kristoffer var dog utrolig teit og kjip og fant ut at han skulle gå hjem istede fordi han var redd han ikke kom hjem til 11.

Jeg tørte ikke ta pariserhjulet fordi det var så gigantisk at jeg holdt meg unna. Så jeg ble sittende sammen med Daniel ved bunnen. Det var en ganske stor arkade der men det var for det meste krok spill og kjedelige bilspill så vi satt oss på en benk utenfor. Etter det så skulle vi ta den amazinge automat bussen som ikke har sjofør. Det er bare en buss som går på Odaiba som ikke har sjofør og det er utrolig great. Vi tokk den videre for å se en gigantisk full size gundam. En gundam er en svær mobil humanoid kamp robot fra en anime serie med samme navn. Serien har 30 års jubileum så de har satt opp en fullsize figur. Den hadde lys i de forskjellige delene som de satt å tullet med og var skikkelig slemme for de lyste opp alt annet en hode som var skikkelig teese.

Det var skikkelig stemning der. Men vi kommer nok tilbake til statuen når den skal avdukes. Det blir utrolig nydelig. Jeg tokk bilder med mobilen men jeg tror folk med kamera fikk flotte bilder.

Etter alt dette dro vi hjemmover for denne dagen var så eventfull at vi var slitne. I morgen er det Project Diva release og jeg og marius skal tidlig opp for å få tak i.

Testing new programs

Ok så Photoshop decided to be a bitch today and wouldn’t lett me use pressure when using my tablet. So then i started thinking, since i was in a real mood for drawing for once i randomly opened paint and started sketching. Since I’m really into 07th Expansion’s Umineko no naku koro ni series at the moment i drew Lambdadelta. I was actually surprised by how good the drawing was and that paint wasn’t that bad. Though i didn’t try coloring. That would be too much work for such a simple drawing. And i can’t live without layers.

So taking the advice of Tina i tried the painting program, SAI. To my surprise i really liked it. And it wasn’t as bitch as photoshop so i could actually use it with my tablet. And the tools were just as sent from heaven.

So yeah, I’m in love with SAI and this is the result.

This didn’t turn out as good as it could because I’m not that used to SAI yet and i have to skillfully change between sai and photoshop to get the effekts that i want but that should be no problem once i really start trying that.

New, clean theme

I was going to blog about the first of april jokes that was on several diffrent gaming companies and other stuff on the internet but then i got lazy and first of april ended in japan and it’s effort to find it all again.

Ah well, I can sumarize the coolest.

Goodsmile had an announcement for a nendroid live action movie. (looked awesome)
Type-Moon had announcement for a necoarc movie staring cats.
Overflow had a great animation of kotonohasama Days staring kotonohasama.
Oyashirosama.com had an announcement for kenta-kun ningyo special anime.
May-be soft had boobs.
Google.jp had a special page for when you searched for ドラえもん.
Visual Arts Key had, suspiciusly enough, a release of rewrite page. Which i will come back to.
Queensblade.net had a… colage of… live action queensblade charackter of manly women… or something…

Overall it was a quite good first of april. Not the epicness of the april fool from last year with that guy that made the touhou RPG. I really can’t forgive that guy. I want that gaaaaame.

Project work progress

Curently I am working on a project for the norwegian convention Soracon. And I’ve decided to make a Sakuya Izayoi Touhou doujin this time. After playing alot of Touhou Scarlet Weather Rhapsody I’ve grown quite fond of Sakuya. The project hasn’t really started yet but i expect to have a story in a week or so. Not that I’m going to post that here so you just have to be patient and wait for me to release the book.

In the meanwhile I can post the Sakuya image I’ve been working on the last week.

I kind of think this ended up using to much textures and effekts but i did’nt really want to just drop it so I’m going to finish this in this style i guess. I’m not compleatly finished with this because Sakuya needs her knives.

I had the idea that this would be the cover art for my book and it may as well end up as that but i’m still not sure. Sometimes it’s just too hard to draw what you really want to.

Reitaisai and Komachi rice

As some dedicated fans probably know, the touhou hakurei jinja reitaisai festival was this sunday. Reitaisai is a huge convention entirely for touhou stuff and this, the sixth time, they got the tokyo big site for the event. Alot of great stuff has come out this year and I’m trying to sort through alot of this stuff and 2ch threads and whatnot to get hold of alot of this stuff. First of before i forget is the Komachi rice!

At first i though this was a doujin. And since i was just scaning through alot of pictures i didn’t mind it. But then i got tothis picture. Where i suddenly noticed the rice and just wow. I really wish i had been there.  I seriously want this rice.

「Life」 “No seat for you” meme

I’ve been more into j-dramas more than i’ve been the last year.  I really like dramas but i’ve had a kind of break from it the last year i guess. So as you probably can see i’ve been watching dramas recently and will probably blog more about them.

Then it’s time for what I’m really going to write about this time.  This time it’s about the drama Life. Really, I haven’t watched the drama. I guess it’s kind of weird to talk about it if i haven’t watched it but I’m going to talk about a meme sprouted from Life. I guess it’s because it’s unusal that it cought my eye, but the fraze is just too great. From what I’ve seen and heard Life is a drama about girls bulling and the meme fraze is really not funny at all. おめーの席ねーから！(Omee no seki nee kara!) It’s reamixed in all the usual varieties but really, I laugh as hard each time.

This is the video I first saw of this, probably because it’s the most popular. I really don’t remember what got me to watch it. Maybe i found it on the ranking somewhere. The loop is just too smooth, it’s just great. It really make me want to watch Life but I think maybe it will be hard taking everything seriously. Also i think because of the video under i’ve spoiled myself quite alot.

I really liked this because it was the only video that used more scenes from life, and it was quite skillfully put together too.  Also I burst into laughter at “CHOKO CHOKO MINTO”. But seriously, i wonder how it will be watching Life after this. It’s usualy really strange. Like when i watch Haruhi or Lucky Star again.

There is also this fanactor thingy that someone made. The girls are probably not japanese since the pronauncation is super strange and horrible really. If you want to put yourself through that then here you go.

Higurashi Artwork

This is the image i recently finished, being the first image i have ever made full color with a full background. I’ve been finding it hard to do backgrounds because i know I’m not good at them but this time i just went through with it because someone told me it would look very good with a background. For those of you who aren’t familiar with higurashi no naku koro ni, you should watch it. Other than that i can telly you that this charackter is Sonozaki Mion, one of the main charackter of the series. The idea of this image is from the relationship with Mion and another main charackter, Maebara Keiichi. Although with the story things are realy complicated.  I used a real house for reference at some places for house and i’m not entirely ok with how the doorway turned out but you really don’t see that much of it so i guess that was ok. I also see now that i should have used more textures for the sky to look more alive.

This though, is just something i had fun with. It’s really touhou artwork that i used to test out diffrent layertypes on the sky in the background. It actually looks really good and alot the way i want it with the kind of stormy feeling to the sky instead of the calm one in the originial. I’d just have to remove the really obvious body parts and stuff. Will probably not do it though.  Also take a good look at the moon.

This is an image without the blue night filter i used in the finished version. This is actually the image i started posting around the web but i fixed it up a bit after som good tips from a friend. This image is abselutely too bright. Seeing as the moonlight would never lighten that much.

Just a few layers removed with this you can, kind of, see how i work when applying color. Also background color!

Japanese and Jojo

I’ve considered myself quite good in Japanese for a good while now, but since I’m going to japan in the summer i guess it would be good for me to seriously start learning more kanji because that has been one of the tings I have really been slaking of with. Because I’m lazy. I find it quite easy to learn though so it is going quite well really. It’s about time i got fluent in it anyway i guess.

Also, I’ve started the impossible task of reading Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure of fffffffffffffffffff volumes. Seriously I started reading it not knowing about the parts. So i started reading and suddenly it concluded super early. (haha) But i really like the parts stuff actually. Though I feel that the first part had the overall best intro. (I’ve only read till part 3) I myself see jojo’s bizarre adventure as a sign on japanese weirdness, but at the same time i see the originality in it. It’s really nothing like what you see in most anime and manga today which really appeals to me. And i really love all the amazing poses the characters randomly do. The posing was better in the start of the manga, but I guess it’s coming back soon. Also the sick sound effects are really great. I’m looking forward to the later parts since I’ve heard they are the best.
